MY 2ND STORY

THE GIFT

In England there are car stores everywhere and when there are car stores ther are people that want to have cars these people are called " THE NO CAR PEOPLE" But one day that all changes for on of "THE NO CAR PEOPLE". It is Christmas and "THE NO CAR PERSONS" family decide to get him a brand new spanking car called the gummy shark it is know for its massive v6 engine and the awesome tunes that it blows out of its 2 inch sterieo in the front and the back but the basic definition for this car is THE BEAST! All the "NO CAR PEOPLE" dream of this car every night and day. So it might jsut be a big surprise for this " NO CAR PERSON". When it is night Santa brings him the GUMMY SHARK. The next morning the "NO CAR PERSON" wakes up and finds the legendry gummy shark with his name on it. OHH and i forgot to mention the gummy shark is a toy car that has  battery powered spekers that sing " we are family".

 THE MIGHTY CLIMB

 

 

Puffed, as the climber reached to the top of this mighty mountain but suddenly disapeard this mountain is called Mt Carnivorous  for a reason it is very dangerous. The name was given by the people of the village below because of the  the tale that however climbs up it gets eaten by it . Now before you reach any conclusions like ahh sure sure it eats the people who climb it think about all the other people that have climbed it they have never come back it is the mystery no one has solved for donkeys years and investigators are still investigating this horrific story. The story has broken out all over the town spreading like a plague of rats. " Another man has gone missing" cried the poor village people stunned as another one of there villagers have gone "what do we do came a voice from the distance, "i dont know exclaimed another near the front". "I think we need to get a man up there to see whats happening" some people said " ALRIGHT yelled and man i will do it " the crowed waited nervously  waiting for the man to get his stuff.  "Guys if i don't make it back tell my wife and kids i love them"shaked out the man. So he started climbing and everyone watching him as he made his way to the top. When he made it to the top he saw all the people that have gone missing. They have started a new culture up here the man asked them "why have you been hiding so long" "They said because there was not enough tea down there and there is a massive load of coffee right here"

LEARNONG ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 1. I think that most of the authors have tried to make there blogs and websites appealing to all people because of some of the things that that used in their blogs or websites.

 2.  Most of them started by wanting to become an author when they were young and they tried for other jobs but they never got them so they thought about a career in writing they perused that career and did very well in that subject and now they are all professional
writers. The others didn't really have how they started or when they started.

  3.  My two authors that i choose are Andy Griffiths and Rorled darl i think they make their writing their own because they write about weird and qerky stuff


4.  My authors website has nothing about how he started or anything  but this is my short summary on him:

THE DESIGN OF THE NOVELS COVER

 1.  Firstly i chose this book because of the way the front cover of the book appealed to me It was appeling because of the big black writing for the title. I think that this books front cover had  great colour contrast becuase of the white backgroud and the black title and the red blood on the white background. I responded nicly beacause i think that was the best book in the WORLD! that i have ever read. 

 2.  I think the thing that sprang out of the cover was the blood on the white background.


 3.  I was very won because of the read because it was just really exiting and i didnt want to stop just alll the action and thrilling parts in the book. I think the things that make the cover of a book shoot out is big writing, it has to be colourful  and the most important thing is the pictures i think an unappeling cover would be like black writing no pictures and a red background.

 4.  No i havn't really ever been taken by a cover and found that it wasn't anything to do with it because i always read the blurb on the books and if their good i will take them.


 5.  I think that the book Michaels reading, THE SPOOKS is probably about  A character who is a monster hunter and he goes and slays all the monsters in the little town but he gets caught and he has to get himself out. That is what i think Michaels book is about. Well visually i think the cover explains alot about the book of his story because it has a picture of a monster or beast and a ninja sort of person about to fight it. I think that it also is very darkish sort of looking making the reader even more interested into reading that book

ELECTRONIC LITERATURE

 1.  I think that this way of electronic literature really doesn't appeal to me because its is on the computer and i don't think many people like to read on a computer.

 2. I think the thing that young readers would be attracted to is the music and moving pictures in the story.

 3. Some possible disadvantages are reading off the screenis bad for your eyes because you are consentrating on the screen so much Another thing would be that all the storys are so simple for the older reader to read.

 4.Well this type of reading isnt really that different to the traditional type because you are still reading the words and pretty much the only difference is that the picture are moving. You get pictures in the traditional way of reading to.

 5.  Some other forms of electronic literature i have come across are YouTube when reading about facts or something like that, slide shows and lots of other different things.
 

   6. Well i would rather read the old fashion way because with this way of reading it has all the music and everything and i cant really concentrate on reading because of the moving pictures and music. So over all i would rather read the traditional way.

WHAT WAS THE READING EXPERIENCE LIKE?

1/2. I think that i can only get in the zone for reading when i have just got out of the pool on a hot day then jump on my bed and turn the fan on that is when i am relaxed and can read very easily. My favorite time to read is around midday when it is to hot to do anything.

 3. My favorite author is Andy Griffiths because he produces random and stupid book and that is the sort of book i like because they are fun to read. I think it is the title that grabs me with his books because they are always colorful and cool looking.I like all his books because  they are all really fun and enjoyable to read. 

 4. Yes people recommend books to me they are mainly family, sometimes friends, teachers and librarians at the state library. I share similar tastes with my friends but not so much with teachers and family though.

5. Well i have recommended books to some people mainly my little cousin but other than that i haven't really recommended any books to people. I have recommended the shurub books and the zac power books. I have also recommended harry potter the series. There response after they read the book was WOW! that was a great book. Then they get all the series of all the books i recommended and read them all. No I don't really no any other authors that write the same way as he did with my book because after all i don't really read much.

WHAT IS IN THE BLURB

1.  The trap has a very appealing and exiting ring to it Thats why i chose this book because i read it and i thought WOW!  i wanted to read straight away. It just popped in my head and i imagined being in this situation that the character of the book was in.

2.  I think the most appealing phrase that appeared to me was the part at the end were it said " Will he be able to use his instincts and bravery to save his grampa"?

 3. I think the blurb explained alot about the book because it gave alot away because soon as i read the blurb i pretty much knew what was going to happen.

 4.I think the blood on the front cover leading to the back cover gave me a sense of how hard it must be for this character and the grampa.

5.  My new blurb would be:

Johnny grandfather is a cocky independent old man who run out of time and had left no time to check the trap lines in the Alaskans snow. Johnny grandpa thinks he is independent but johnny is right to worry. His grandfather has caught his foot in the trap. The temperature is plummeting  and wild animals are starting to come will Johnny have enough skill and strength to save his grandfather in time

THE TITLE

 1. The trap has a title that is a has bit of a scary sence to it because it shows a bear trap with blood covering the snow. When i chose this book the title entriged me into reading beacuse the way the title just stood out from all the books. I think that the austhor has chosen an apropriate title for the book beacuse it real related to the story very strongly.

2. I think my two alternate titles would for the trap would be

• The leg stopper
• the lost foot

THE TRAP

The Trap is an adventurous book full of dramatic scenes to happy scense. The trap is a very good book for people that don't like to read that much because its is short sharp and easy to read. I would know this because i am not much of a reader myself.
